A self-priming pump is a special centrifugal pump that automatically draws the liquid into the pump without pre-filling it. The working principle of the self-priming pump mainly depends on the high-speed rotation of the impeller. When the pump is started, the impeller rotates to create negative pressure, which draws air into the suction line and eventually draws liquid into the pump.
